Pocatalico River Basin Joint Study 1973-1975

Summary

This collection is referred to as "Pocatalico River Basin Joint Study 1973-1975.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is a quarter (0.25) of a linear inch.

The documents were originally housed in an acidic folder within an acid-free box and were in overall good condition. Small tears and metal contaminants were present. Tears were mended with acid-free tissue mending tape, metal contaminants were removed using a microspatula, wrinkles and creases in documents were flattened using a bone tool, and residues were removed using a vulcanized rubber sponge.

The documents date from 1973 to1975 and consist of two pieces of correspondence with associated documents, including an oversized topographic map and an environmental impact statement. The oversized material (scanned asset 2108_0003) was removed to oversized storage and assigned a separate scanned asset number for tracking purposes. A reduced-sized copy of the map was printed on acid-free paper and inserted into the original location behind the associated correspondence.

The digital materials in this collection were processed by the Veterans Curation Program (VCP), and include the finding aid, oversized material spreadsheet, and scanned asset key. Additional digital materials held by the VCP include the archives database, document folder listing, environmental impact statement, initial data collection, map, notes, oversized labels, and records removal sheet. For additional information on these materials, refer to the finding aid.
