Hathaway
Summary
The Hathaway Site files include all those relevant to the 1968 and 1969 excavations of the Hathaway site loci in Passadumkeag, Maine. These excavations were undertaken by Dean Snow with support from the University of Maine and the National Science Foundation. Previous excavations were carried out at the site by Warren Moorehead in 1912, and by Wendell Hadlock and Theordore Stern in 1947. Files include data and publications relevant to all of those investigations. The site proved to contain evidence from at least four components, two of which relate to the Archaic phenomenon now usually referred to as the Moorehead Complex.
