Michelle I. Turner

Michelle is an archaeologist working on Chaco Canyon and its outliers. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, where she conducts research relating to the Northern Chacoan Outliers Project. She is a ceramic analyst and has also worked on environmental archaeology and architecture in her work on Aztec North, a Chacoan-era great house at Aztec Ruins National Monument. She uses landscape archaeology, materiality theory and sociopolitical theory in her research. Michelle also has a law degree and conducts research in legal and ethical issues relating to heritage and the repatriation of material culture and art.
