Site CA-MRP-0056/H, located in Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County, is situated in a glacially-scoured granitic basin at an elevation of 3,989 feet. This complex site is situated in a region occupied by the Penutian-speaking Central Sierra Miwok and Southern Sierra Miwok, the Bridgeport Valley Paiute, Mono Lake Paiute, and the Mono-speaking Owens Valley Paiute.
