Fifteen samples collected stratigraphically from the Rattlesnake Slough site (34GR4) were examined for pollen. Nine of the samples represent a column collected from Test Unit 2 as contiguous 10 cm block samples. Two soil dates anchor the bottom and top of the area sampled in TU 2 as 8200 ± 100 BP and 6080 ± 110 BP, respectively. A modern surface sample also was examined.
