Tijeras Pueblo (LA 581) is a Late Precontact, or Pueblo IV period (1275-1400), archaeological site located within the modern village of Tijeras, situated in Tijeras Canyon. Tijeras Canyon is a route that has been used both historically and prehistorically as a passageway between eastern New Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley.
