EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM FAULT TRENCH MF1, PUERTO RICO (2012)
A total of five bulk soil samples from a paleoseismic fault trench were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon age determination. These samples were recovered from a mango/avocado farm on the southeast coastal plain of Puerto Rico. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
