A total of nine bulk soil samples and twenty detrital charcoal samples collected along the North Fork Red River in the Red River Basin near Altus Dam and Reservoir, Oklahoma, were examined to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon age determination. These samples were recovered from stream deposits along the North Fork Red River.
