Fill from an eroding hearth/roasting pit (Feature 1) on the south shore of Yellowstone Lake (site 48YE252) in Yellowstone National Park was analyzed for pollen and macrofloral remains. A calibrated radiocarbon date of 100 BC to AD 140 (8eta-150250) for Feature 1 and an abundance of Pelican Lake artifacts at the site indicate a Late Archaic Pelican Lake occupation.
