Archaeological monitoring for this project was recommended due to the proximity of two important traditional Hawaiian sites: 50-80-15-4852 and 50-80-15-4853. No archaeological materials, cultural horizons, features, artifacts, or human burials were identified during archaeological monitoring. The BAFS cabin replacement project had no adverse effect on cultural resources and no further archaeological investigations are recommended.

Dye & Colleagues, Archaeologists, Inc. conducted archaeological monitoring of ground disturbing activities associated with a treatability study of a historic trash deposit in a natural sinkhole at Disposal Area 101, Sinkhole at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows, O‘ahu. The monitoring focused on the discovery and appropriate treatment of historic properties that would be affected by the activities associated with the undertaking. No historic properties were found.
