Feature fill and stratigraphic soil samples were submitted for phytolith analysis from a rockshelter site, 15BR247, located in Breathitt County, Kentucky. Phytolith analysis was undertaken to better understand what the environment was like during the occupation of the site, and to identify any microbotanical remains from areas within and in front of the shelter.
