A cultural resource survey was performed for Salt River Project (SRP) by SWCA, Inc., Environmental Consultants on June 19, 1990. The survey was located near Queen Creek, Arizona, in Maricopa County on private lands. Six miles of right-of-way were surveyed, totaling approximately 15 acres. SRP is planning to construct a receiving station— RS-24— as part of the proposed Abel-Moody 230 kV transmission line project, currently in the siting process. As part of SRP’s land acquisition guidelines, SRP requested that Logan Simpson Design (LSD) conduct a Class III cultural resources survey of the proposed RS-24 site to determine whether any significant cultural resources will be disturbed by the construction.
