Site 48SU379 is situated approximately 17 miles southwest of the town of Pinedale, Wyoming in the northern portion of the Green River Basin and approximately 1,000 ft south of the New Fork River on a high terrace overlooking the New Fork floodplain. The Phalanx Pho Site (48SU7506) is located on a large upland bench overlooking the New Fork River in the upper Green River Basin. Site discoveries included 22 scattered features, three semi-circular-shaped feature clusters, and three large charcoal-stained sandy areas. Radiocarbon dates ranged from 5720 ± 30 to 4110 ± 30 BP.
