This project includes faunal data from three early Pueblo IV sites in the Salinas region of central New Mexico. This includes LA 199 (Kite Pueblo), LA 2091 (Pueblo de las Mesa), and LA 9032 (Frank's Pueblo).

This dataset includes fauna that was recovered as part of the Salt Gila Aqueduct Central Arizona Project. The fauna was analyzed by Christine Szuter using the National Park Service comparative collection housed at the Arizona State Museum at the University of Arizona.

PROJECT Dean Snow.

The Salt Pond Project was undertaken in 1968 with support from the University of Maine and the National Science Foundation. The work was focused on the Grindle site, but test excavations were also carried out on the nearby Allen site as well as on the Carleton Island site. These are sites 42-10, 42-11, and 42-27 in the numbering system in use at the time at the University of Maine. Excavation recovered materials assignable to the Woodland period.
