Strasbourg Ceramics: Photographs (2011)

These images show the individual sherds from Strasbourg analyzed by neutron activation at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). Photographs were taken at LBNL and scanned by the Archaeometry Laboratory at MURR. Individual files were named according to the official catalog numbers of each image assigned by the Graphic Arts Department at LBNL.

Data recovery studies were initiated at Drill Hole Ul9aq to retrieve cultural resources information concerning the settlement and subsistence systems followed by the aboriginal hunter and gatherers in the area. Studies included the excavation of 28 separate units, ranging in size from less than one square meter to 32 square meters, and the collection and mapping of surface remains over a 84.8 hectare area.

Two sites, one prehistoric and one historic, situated northwest of Phoenix and in the south-central part of Arizona, are discussed.
