XRD, XRF, AND RADIOCARBON DATE ANALYSES OF SAMPLES FROM THE METZ SITE 33ER557, ERIE COUNTY, OHIO (2021)
The Metz site, 33ER557, is located in Erie County, Ohio. Previous work by PaleoResearch Institute examined an Esch Plain variety Red Slip vessel, a collection of sherds from another ceramic vessel, a grooved and an ungrooved celt, a slate disc, and a ceramic pipe (Yost et al 2013). Further work at the Metz site revealed bog iron.
