The COP Archaeology office reviewed the project, and provided recommendations in a May 17, 2007 Archaeological Assessment. The COP Archaeology Assessment notes that several prehistoric canals, the historic Maricopa Canal, and the historic Phoenix Railway have been previously recorded within the project area.
