3D Laser Scanning for the digital reconstruction and analysis of a 16th Century clinker built sailing vessel (2013)

Citation DOCUMENT [ID: 428312] Pat T Tanner.

Using the Drogheda boat scaled physical model as a starting point, the following paper discusses a methodology that has been created to develop and analyse the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic characteristics of a reconstructed hull form. The physical boat model was 3D laser scanned and virtually modelled using commercially available CAD modelling software. Using boatbuilding experience, the recorded model is then "repaired", rebuilding the entire vessel, including recreating any missing...

3D Scanning of Bronze: Repeatability and Reliability across scanners. (2015)

Citation DOCUMENT [ID: 398167] Kristina Golubiewski-Davis.

As 3D scanning is integrated into the archaeological tool kit, more objects are being captured using a variety of scanning methods and specific scanners. This poster explores how laser scanning, white light scanning, and photogrammetry compare across the Next Engine, Breukmann (300mm and 90mm lenses), David SLS-2 (30mm and 60mm pattern sizes), and photogrammetry (compiled with Agisoft Photoscan) using a Gauge Repeatability and Reliabity test. Five objects were scanned five times using each of...

Aplicación de la topometría digital en conservación e investigación de los monumentos mayas (2015)

Citation DOCUMENT [ID: 396918] Adelso Canan. Alexandre Tokovinine. Barbara Fash.
