Pollen and macrofloral analyses were conducted at 48SWI023 and 48SW1612 to identify paleoenvironmental conditions at the time of occupation, as well as to determine whether evidence exists for subsistence activities involving plants. Stratigraphic columns were collected from the present ground surface to the lowest occupation or one stratum below at each site to provide data to interpret paleoenvironmental conditions.
