Pollen analysis was undertaken on five samples from four archaeological sites in the Naval Activities Ordinance Annex. Several rivers run through this hilly area, and the sites examined for pollen evidence are associated with the Maemong and Bonya Rivers. Pollen analysis examined four sites to obtain information concerning prehistoric vegetation at the time of occupation.
