A pollen sample from soil within a tipi ring and three flotation samples from the fill of ash stained features were examined from Site 48CA1383 in northeast Wyoming. This site consists of a cluster of four tipi rings and is believed to date to the Late Prehistoric period. Pollen and macrofloral analyses were undertaken to provide information concerning possible plant resources utilized at this site.

Site 48CA1366 is located along the Belle Fourche River in northeastern Wyoming. Pollen samples collected from two stratigraphic columns at 48CA1366 were examined to provide information concerning vegetation and paleoenvironmental conditions. Column 1 represents fluvial sediments on a suspected Middle Missouri-aged terrace along the Belle Fourche River.
