Four features from three archaeological sites in the Ashley National Forest were examined for pollen and/or macrofloral remains. Site 42DA669 is represented by pollen and macrofloral records from a slab-lined basin estimated to represent Fremont occupation. Site 42DA791, a Fremont site, is represented by two pollen samples and a single macrofloral sample from the pithouse/brush structure that yielded a radiocarbon age of 1420 BP.
