Eighty pollen samples were examined to provide a paleoenvironmental record at Site 36LU311 (Site XE2661, the Area of Potential Effects (APE)) for the Eighth Street Bridge Replacement Project in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. This site was examined archaeologically during the fall of 2000, at which time several back hoe trenches were dug through the floodplain on the north side of the Susquehanna River.
