The Alkali Ridge Project conducted by New Mexico State University is a data modernization project geared towards updating maps and providing artifact analysis around the Ten Acres community in the National Historic Landmark Southern District in southeastern Utah. Pollen, starch, macrofloral, and/or protein residue analyses were conducted on samples representing three pit structures, features within the pit structures, and extramural features at site 42Gr2069 in southeast Utah. Radiocarbon ages range from 1820 ± 40 to 1980 ± 50 BP. Pollen, starch, and macrofloral analyses were targeted towards obtaining subsistence information for use of the vegetal portion of the resource base from several of the structures and features.
