Summary

Pollen, starch, macrofloral, and/or protein residue analyses were conducted on samples

representing three pit structures, features within the pit structures, and extramural features at

site 42Gr2069 in southeast Utah. Radiocarbon ages range from 1820 ± 40 to 1980 ± 50 BP.

Pollen, starch, and macrofloral analyses were targeted towards obtaining subsistence

information for use of the vegetal portion of the resource base from several of the structures

and features. Protein residue analysis was undertaken to identify evidence of animals that

might have been processed.
