"On April 19, 1997, a reconnaissance level archaeological survey was conducted in four areas of the proposed North Augusta Golf Course Development Phase I. The survey was conducted in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto. While no evidence of archaeological sites or deposits was noted within the limited project area, intact subsurface features or deposits were noted immediately adjacent to the project limits."
