In the summers of 1980 and 1981 William Wepler led a survey project of the Mississinewa Reservoir. Plaza Nueva Arizona Site Steward File (2000)
This is an Arizona Site Steward file for Plaza Nueva, located on Bureau of Land Management land. The site is comprised of a historic townsite, in use between roughly 1860 and 1890. Multiple structures are present, including a sandstone house; and are accompanied by a trash scatter, fence posts, and a possible corral site.
