The Directorate of Public Works is planning an undertaking to rehabilitate and adaptively use Building 143 at Fort Sam Houston that is located within the National Historic Landmark District. The Environmental and Natural Resources Division agrees with the Texas Historical Commission’s determination that the undertaking will have “no adverse effect” upon Building 143, the adjacent historic properties, or the National Historic Landmark District.

The Texas Historical Commission has received and reviewed plans at the 50% level for the rehabilitation of Building 131 at Fort Sam Houston. It appears from the plans that a determination of "no adverse effect" will be determined, after a tour of the site by the Commission.
