In early 2008, twenty-eight archaeological iron and copper alloy artifacts belonging to the Andrews Air Force Base collections curated at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory (MAC Lab) were identified as requiring conservation treatment by MAC Lab Federal Collections Curator, Sara Rivers Cofield.
