On August 22, 1977, the proposed Patterson Wellfield Transmission Pipeline right-of-way was surveyed by the Museum of Northern Arizona. One site, NA15,313 was located during the survey; it is a small sherd and lithic scatter of the Cibola Anasazi culture dating from the Pueblo II or Pueblo III periods situated on a small knoll top in a juniper-sage covered area near the southern end of the right-of-way. Between July 10 and July 15, 1977, 3.88 miles of right-of-way expansion was surveyed along the Coronado Generating Station Coal Haul Railroad approximately 18 miles north of St. Johns, Arizona. One prehistoric site was found, a large sherd and lithic scatter of the Cibola Anasazi culture. It is recommended that the portion of the site within the expanded right-of-way be mapped and recorded.
