The cultural resources survey is undertaken to provide alternate right-of-way routes for Seisdata Services' seismic investigation. The objective of the cultural survey is to record and preserve any historic or prehistoric values of significance, and also to provide clearance guidelines for the seismic line activities.

Northland Anthropological Research, Inc. (NAR), conducted an archaeological survey of five seismic exploration lines sited by Grant Geophysical Company on the northern slopes of the Spring Mountains in Clark County, Nevada. The survey was performed to insure that the proposed exploration activity would not adversely effect cultural resources.
