Ten stratigraphic samples were examined from the Lightning Spring Site to provide information concerning the vegetation communities of this area during the McKean occupation (before 4000 BP) and between that time and the present. Single stratigraphic samples were examined from each of the strata exhibiting evidence of McKean occupation.
