In 1991, Thomason and Associates completed the Inventory and Evaluation of Historic Buildings and Structures on Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The purpose of this study is to provide an historical overview of the development of the base and to document all significant pre-1946 buildings which remain. A total of 119 buildings were determined to meet the criteria of age and significance and these buildings were inventoried in accordance with standards set forth by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency.
