During the excavation of a backhoe trench for the repair of the electrical distribution system, a buried cultural horizon was encountered. Construction was halted and the Base Archaeologist visited the site to evaluate the material. Further excavation was monitored. During the 1987 field season Alice Tratebas located fifty-one sites on the F.E. Warren main base. Of those sites, thirty were recommended as significant. During the 1995 field season, twenty of the fifty-one sites recorded by Tratebas were tested by Frontier Cultural Services. Of those twenty sites, twelve were considered significant by Tratebas and eight considered not significant.
