Unit 3 is a habitation room located in the southeast corner of a six-room room block that forms the major construction feature of 85NM612. It was selected for excavation due to its corner location, wall definition and because of the substantial amount of wall fall relative to other rooms at the site. Unit 4 is a shallow depression which is cut into the bedrock conglomerate at 85NM612. The depression is spatially located beneath two pueblo rooms (Units 1 and 2) which are visible on the surface of the site (see figure 1). The depression extends beyond the western walls of the pueblo rooms therefore the edges of Unit 4 which were located west of the surface rooms were not defined during the 1991 excavations. From the area exposed, the depression appears oval in form.
