EMAP Lee – LA70258 Unit 3, 1991
Part of the EMAP Lee (LA70258) - Unit Summaries project
Year: 1991
Summary
Unit 3 is a habitation room located in the southeast corner of a six-room room block that forms the major construction feature of 85NM612. It was selected for excavation due to its corner location, wall definition and because of the substantial amount of wall fall relative to other rooms at the site. Excavated areas of the unit include the room itself and areas excavated outside the room during initial definition of wall locations. Note that two loci (2-2-5 and 2-3-9) originally excavated as part of the unit 2 excavations are analytically associated with unit 3.
