This cobble masonry room is one of a twelve room block of rooms laid out in a 3 (east-west) by 4 (north-south) grid. The Buckaroo Site (85NM613) is a 12 room, massive masonry pueblo situated on a finger-like terrace above the north bank of the Palomas creek in south central New Mexico. The Palomas flows down from the eastern flanks of the Black Range Mountains and joins the Rio Grande about 160 miles south of the modern city of Albuquerque.
