Unit 1 was chosen to excavate because it was a burned room. One of our main goals this summer was to get dates. Hopefully, the burning would allow us to get good archeomagnetic, dendro, and C14 material. This was the first room opened in LA 37691, also known as the Post Classic site. LA37691 is a small roomblock located on a narrow terrace above the south fork of the Palomas Creek.
