The 243-mile preferred alignment of the proposed Mead to Phoenix ±500kV direct current transmission system was surveyed for archaeological resources by the Museum of Northern Arizona in the spring of 1984. Fifty-eight archaeological sites were identified on the alignment, plus 10 historic routes in areas crossed by the alignment.
