This report gives a brief history of Hanscom Air Force Base including Ipswich Antenna Station and Sagamore Hill Antenna Complex. Hanscom AFB began as an auxiliary airport for Boston in mid-1941, and was utilized by the U.S. Army throughout World War II (Weitze 2001).
