The Native Village of Eklutna (NVE) received a contract in 2006 (912CZ-05-C-0018) from USAG-AK to identify Traditional Cultural Properties (TCP) upon USAG-AK property, Fort Richardson, and within a one mile area of effect, the buffer area. Thirty-six geographical landscapes were investigated, including eight referenced by the Dena’ina Elder Shem Pete (Kari and Fall 2003).
