On 13 June 1985 during construction of an underground line, the construction contractor encountered a buried foundation. The Base Construction Inspector's office was notified immediately. The base archaeologist inspected the location and monitored the remaining construction in the area of the foundation. Historical records indicate that the foundation remains are those of a fire station/guardhouse established to protect the stables. The building was constructed in 1909 and was razed sometime...
