As a result of the Salt River Project consultant's meeting on June 18, 1974, additional, more current information on the Arizona Station Project was made available to the Museum of Northern Arizona. Because of this, it was decided that the archaeological recommendations for the project should be reviewed and re-submitted. This report discusses the new developments and presents the basis for conclusions made regarding the archaeological assessments.
Cholla Project Archaeology, Volume 2, The Chevelon Region (1982)
The Arizona Public Service Cholla-Saguaro Transmission Line Mitigation Project, an undertaking as large in scope as its full title suggests, began in April of 1977. North Atlantic Biocultural Organization (NABO)
This project file contains NABO publications. NABO was founded over 20 years ago to attempt to cross-cut national and disciplinary boundaries and to help North Atlantic scholars make the most of the immense research potential of our damp and lovely research area. NABO has worked to aid in improving basic data comparability, in assisting practical fieldwork and interdisciplinary ventures, in promoting student training, and in better communicating our findings to other scholars, funding...
Prehistoric Agricultural Strategies in West-Central New Mexico (1987)
Environmental fluctuations are frequently cited as a major factor effecting population displacement and cultural development in the American Southwest. Recent research suggests that the interaction of environmental, demographic, and behavioral variables might account for these presumed causal relationships, but behavioral responses to environmental fluctuations remain poorly understood. The environmental factors most likely to have been stressful to agriculturalists such as the prehistoric...

One small previously recorded potsherd concentration and a number of isolated artifacts were located within the Westwing area. An extensive Hohokam site was located within the Eastwing parcel, along with a segment of the historic Marinette Heading Canal. The Westwing substation alternative is strongly recommended in preference to the...

Western Apache history, as it relates to the State Route 260 (SR 260) Payson-to-Heber project implemented by Desert Archaeology, Inc., is summarized in this report.
