MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AND AMS RADIOCARBON DATING OF SOIL SAMPLES FROM SITE 5WL6465, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO (2011)
Soil samples from between and below two stacked metates sitting atop a hearth at site 5WL6465 in northeastern Colorado were examined for macrofloral remains. Charcoal fragments recovered from the samples were submitted for AMS radiocarbon dating. MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT CA-YUB-1157, SACRAMENTO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (2001)
Two macrofloral samples were excavated from CA-YUB-1157 in the Sacramento Valley, California. One sample was collected from an excavation unit that contained prehistoric cultural material, while the other sample was recovered from a large, abandoned stream channel. Historic material was noted in the upper levels of the site. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide environmental and prehistoric subsistence information.
MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT SITES CA-SHA-126/H AND CA-SHA-2983, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (2001)
Three soil samples for macrofloral analysis and a wood sample for identification were examined from Sites Ca-Sha-726/H and Ca-Sha-2983. These sites are located near Lake Britton and the Pit River in Shasta County, northern California, which is within the ethnographic territory of the Ilmawi Band of Pit River Indians. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide subsistence information concerning plant resources utilized by the prehistoric occupants of these sites.

MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF FEATURE FILL SAMPLES FROM SITES 48SW11405, 48SW16982, 48SW16986, AND 48SW16988, NRG QUESTAR WAMSUTTER EXPANSION PROJECT, SWEETWATER COUNTY, WYOMING (2009)
Samples from features at sites 48SW11405, 48SW16982, 48SW16986, and 48SW16988 in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, were floated to recover macrofloral remains. These sites were excavated as part of the NRG Questar Wamsutter Expansion project, and represent prehistoric open camps. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide information concerning plant resources utilized by the various occupants of these sites.
MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF HEARTH FILL AT SITE 48AB1878, WYOMING (2010)
Fill from a hearth with fire-cracked rock at site 48AB1878 in southeast Wyoming was floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. This site is a multicomponent site with chipped stone tools and debitage, fire-cracked rock scatters, and diagnostic artifacts from the Middle and Late Archaic periods as well as the Late Prehistoric period (Adams 2009). MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF HEARTH FILL FROM 5MF4973, NORTHEAST COLORADO (2002)
The fill from a basin-shaped hearth in a jeep trail at site 5MF4973 was floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. This site is believed to represent a prehistoric camp-type site and is located north of Maybell, Colorado. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide information concerning plant resources that might have been processed in the hearth and woods burned as fuel. Charcoal recovered from the hearth fill was submitted for AMS radiocarbon analysis.
Mad as Hell Ruin Arizona Site Steward File (2002)
This is an Arizona Site Steward file for the Mad as Hell Ruin site, comprised of multiple Salado compounds with trash mounds and artifact scatter, located on Tonto National Forest land. The file consists of two heritage inventory forms, a site data card, three printed site maps, a hand drawn site map, and an archaeological site inventory form. The earliest dated document is from 1959.
