The Alabama Army National Guard (ALARNG) operates the Fort McClellan Army National Guard Training Center (FM-ARNGTC) in Calhoun County, Alabama, on the northeast side of Anniston. The area has a rich military history, being established as early as 1898 as a training camp for the Spanish American War.
