Newton Hopper

Newton Hopper is located in Elma, NY and dates to ca. A.D. 1550-1570. Sample = 194 vessels (Howard Lindell = 165, Malcolm Willard = 22, Gordon Schmahl = 4, Carleton Coklin = 1, and the Buffalo Museum of Science = 1). Paul Geib wrote an M.A. in 1977 for SUNY/Buffalo (Anthropology) on the site. It was also mentioned in American Archaeology, Fall 2011, vol.15 (3):46. These ceramic attributes were recorded in 1977.
