Swarthout (a.k.a. Wetterhan, UB 956, Cla 8-1, A045-07-0038) is located on the Clayton quad, Jefferson Co. It is believed to date to the late 15th/early 16th century. Sample = 104 vessels (Rochester Museum and Science Center = 88, Gerald Wetterhan of Clayton = 12, N.Y. State Department of Environmental Conservation = 3, Jefferson County Historical Society = 1). These ceramic attributes were recorded in 1990.
