IAfF Digital Archive Resource Guides
Part of: Improving African Futures Using Lessons from the Past (IAfF)
The IAfF Digital Archive Resource Guides are a product of the 2018-2019 Improving African Futures Using Lessons from the Past (IAfF) workshops held at the University of Ghana in Accra. The overarching goal of the project is to establish a framework for co-creating relevant, accessible, sustainable digital cultural heritage resources with local African communities deeply tied to the resource materials. The guides cover topics ranging from best practices for digital data management to photo metadata.
Co-led by Ann B. Stahl and Lisa Goddard from the University of Victoria, and Rachel Fernandez from the Center for Digital Antiquity, these workshops focused on best practices for digital data management, including project organization and developing databases and appropriate metadata, along with video editing and community engagement.
