Summary
Salvage excavations at a site (16EBR64) on the property of the Georgia Pacific Mill near Port Hudson, Louisiana were performed by Steven Smith of the Louisiana Division of Archaeology. Construction of new facilities uncovered a bayonet and some bone fragments. Two 1x2 meter test units revealed that the site has been thoroughly disturbed and further work would not be recommended.
