Summary
This document has been assembled· to aid COB Wilmington in their overall cultural resources management plan for the B. Everette Jordan Dam and Lake project . The contents include : 1) a preliminary report of investigations conducted at 31CH366 by Commonwealth Associates Inc . in June of 1979, 2) an evaluation of the significance of 31CH366 and an assessment of direct impacts that would result from the construction of the Chatham County Public Recreation facility, 3) a research design for mitigation of those areas for which adverse effect is identified and 4) a plan of mitigation for those areas involving a multistage excavation strategy . A final report on the June 1979 excavations is scheduled for later in the year .
